This policy applies to ryzn.one and the Ryzn app, run by the Ryzn team ("Ryzn," "we," "us"). It explains what we collect from mentees and mentors, why, and what you can do about it.
When you create an account: your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). Mentees also provide date of birth, and — for participants under 18 — a guardian's email for consent. Mentors provide the invitation code they redeem.
As you use the program: your onboarding answers (interests, goals, and the influencers/professionals you look up to, used to match you with a mentor); session activity, exercise submissions, and program progress (XP, streaks, badges); and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us for that purpose.
We do not knowingly collect more than the above, and we do not ask for payment or financial information.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Account and program data is stored in MongoDB Atlas. The application runs on Vercel. Emails are sent through Resend. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; we do not grant any of them rights to use your data beyond providing their service to us.
Most mentees join Ryzn while still in high school. If you're under 18, we require a parent or guardian's consent before your account can message with a mentor. We limit what's publicly visible for every mentee — leaderboards and public profiles use an anonymized handle, never your real name — and mentor-facing content goes through a review step before publication.
You can ask us to send you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account at privacy@ryzn.one. We'll respond within a reasonable time and confirm once it's done. Deleting your account removes your profile and program activity; some records may be retained briefly where we're required to for security or legal reasons.
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date above and, where required, let you know directly.
